Calendar Displays

Overview

Calendar Displays are a type of Data Display that is used to connect and aggregate information throughout workplaces built using SharePoint. Instead of showing information in a grid format, the information is presented in a calendar format for a time span of a day, week, month, or year.

We are used to seeing events in a calendar view. However, you can create views of any information such as tasks by due date, policy documents by expiration date, or employees by their review dates. Any list or library with a date field can be “calendared.” In addition, each type of item displayed on the calendar can be color-coded.

Calendar Displays are the only type of Data Displays that show recurring items on all of the date(s) on which that item occurs; other Data Displays simply show the item’s start date.
