The Display Settings page contains several properties that allow you to identify what should be included in the Calendar Display, how item links work, and the format for showing an item’s site, list, or folder, if this information is displayed. This section describes the use of each of these properties.
When this is enabled, the user interface of the Calendar Display includes a panel on the left side that can show a small monthly calendar and (if identified on the Resources page) the resources associated with the calendar items. This is enabled by default.
When show left panel is enabled, enabling this option will show a small monthly calendar in the left panel. Any days for which items are scheduled are shown in bold.
When Show Mini Calendar is enabled, this drop-down allows you to identify the number of months to show in the Mini Calendar. The default is 1.
When this checkbox is selected, items are shown on the calendar as plain text; the user cannot click on an item to link to it and see more details. This is not selected by default.
When this checkbox is selected, the CorasWorks Action Form is used to display information when a calendar link is clicked. That is, instead of sending the user to the list item, information for the item is displayed within a form that is opened on the page. This is selected by default.
This drop-down identifies how links should be opened. Options are available to open linked items in the same window, a new window, or the same window without a frame.
When this checkbox is selected and the user clicks on a document item in the Calendar Display, the user will be brought directly to that document. When the checkbox is left blank, the link will take the user directly to the edit page for the item.
When this checkbox is selected, the Calendar Display will generate the links to each record in the display based on the domain name in the current user’s browser. This option is disabled by default.
When this option is selected and the end user clicks on an item, the user is brought to the URL in the identified column, rather than the URL for the item details.
When this option is selected and a column contains a URL, the URL cannot be clicked on; it is displayed simply as text.
This drop-down is used to identify how the item’s site is to be shown in the display, if it is a displayed column or resource. Options are available to show the title of the site, the URL of the site, or the URL followed by the site title.
This drop-down is used to identify how the item’s source list is to be shown in the display, if it is a displayed column or resource. Options are available to show the list title, the URL of the list, or the URL followed by the list title.
This drop-down is used to identify how the item’s source folder is to be shown in the display, if it is a displayed column or resource. Options are available to show the folder title, the URL of the folder, or the URL followed by the folder title.
Enabled by default, this option presents an icon on the Calendar display. When clicked, an .ICS file is presented to the user. In short, this permits the exporting of calendar data from the calendar display into the user’s calendar application.
