Context Menu Settings

The Context Menu Settings page is used to identify the options that are presented to the user on the menu that is accessed when the user clicks the secondary mouse button anywhere within a Calendar Display.

There are two context menus shown on a calendar, depending on whether the user clicks on a calendar cell that contains an item, or a blank cell. The one in the first example below shows the context menu that is displayed when the user right-clicks on a blank cell. The menu in the second example below shows the context menu that is displayed when the user clicks on a calendar cell that contains an item.

Note that some of the options on these context menus are SharePoint standards; they are not affected by properties on the Display Wizard.

Note: When a user accesses the context menu from an existing item on a Calendar Display, the context menu includes an option for "New Item." However, this option is not available from the context menu accessed from a blank calendar cell because it is impossible to know which list to add the item to. To resolve this issue, the Calendar Display's context menu for single days now includes the Custom Actions option. The builder can define an action to add a new item to the calendar.
