Localization is generally used to refer to customizing a system to apply to a non-English language. The user-facing interface of all CorasWorks Display components can be localized to any language including (as of v10.4) double byte languages such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. In addition, all views can be used for lists and libraries in a non-English language.
There are standard parts of the interfaces throughout the Suite that can be modified to tie the interface even more closely to your needs. For instance, in Grid Displays, there is an option to show a link called “Add Item.” If your users speak a foreign language, you can change this link text to state the option in their local language. The messages, prompts, button labels, and options displayed by the component and the associated Display Wizard can all be customized.
NOTE: When file(s) are localized as described in the procedures below, it affects all sites on the associated server that are configured to use the associated language.
