The Display Wizard's Global Links page provides builders with a method to view and maintain global links without having to go to the Global Links Manager on the Site Settings page.
Global links are a CorasWorks v11 Platform feature that simplifies the process of naming and maintaining references to URLs. A global link is simply an entry in a list that is comprised of a name and a URL. The list is identified when the server administrator enables Central Configuration.
All of the Data and Navigation Displays support the use of global links in any property that references a URL. Any time a reference is made to a global link, the system will look up the link to determine the appropriate URL. If the URL ever needs to be updated, it can be done in a single location, rather than having the builder try to remember and access every instance where the URL is referenced.
In order to utilize global links, Central Configuration must be enabled. Users must have at least Read access to the list in which global links are stored in order to be able to reference global links.
Global Links can be viewed and maintained via the Global Links page on the Display Wizard or from the Global Links Manager.
