Central View Location

Like all of the CorasWorks builder wizards, the Central Views Wizard is accessed via the Site Settings page. When the wizard is initially accessed, a landing page is displayed, similar to the landing page used by all of the CorasWorks builder wizards.

The first step you need to take, regardless of whether you want to create, edit, copy, or delete a central view, is identify the location of the central view that you want to work with. The CorasWorks Platform list template folder includes a Central Views library template that can be used to create a document library with the necessary columns to store central views.

Use the radio buttons and drop-down at the top of the landing page to identify the location of the central views library you want to work with. If you choose to specify a site, the standard Browse capabilities are available and Global Links are supported.

Once you have selected the location of the central views library you want to work with, a Create new View link is displayed, followed by any available central views that have already been created. If no central views exist yet in the specified location, a message states “There are no items to show in this view.”

When you are ready to leave the Central Views Wizard, two buttons are available at the bottom of the landing page. These buttons are standard on all of the CorasWorks builder wizards.

Back to Site – Returns you to the home page of the site from which the Central Views Wizard was accessed.

Back to Site Settings – Returns you to the Site Settings page for the site from which the Central Views Wizard was accessed, so you can work with another builder wizard or any other Site Setting option.
