The Display Wizard’s Search page offers a variety of searching abilities, including:
• Provide the end user with a Search box where they can enter the desired content
• Require the end user to perform a search before any results are displayed
o With the default Calendar Display configuration, all of the data that meets the criteria is returned each time a user hits the page. With large lists, this can slow down system response time. However, if you select this checkbox, no data will be displayed when a user first accesses a Calendar Display. The display will remain empty until the user enters a search to retrieve the desired data (e.g., selects a customer before returning the transaction records for that customer).
• The builder identifies a particular search phrase in the Display Wizard, removing the user’s ability to enter their own search criteria
• Do not perform or allow any type of search

Where Searching Looks For Data • CorasWorks' Search only looks at metadata; it does not perform a full-text search of attached documents or other files. If you want to perform a full-text search, you will need to use the standard SharePoint search, located near the top right corner of most sites. • The Search feature looks at all searchable columns for the identified text string. If a column is not selected on the Columns page, then it will not be included in the search. Also, if you only want to look at the contents of one particular column, use Filtering, instead. |
