This view type is used when the builder wants to reference a Menu Navigation list that includes columns for an image and a description. This is similar to the method that was utilized in older releases of the CorasWorks Workplace Suite, so it may be a popular choice for existing customers.
A benefit to using this view type (or the Cascading Navigation List view) is that several Menu Navigation views and/or iterations can be pointed to the same list to obtain their menu settings. Then, the menu systems you build can be updated from a single location, so you can make changes across several pages at once just by modifying a single navigation list. In addition, you can use native list authentication to make menu options invisible to users who do not have access to a particular list.
