The Chart Format page is used to identify the chart size, colors, labels, and other formatting options to apply. The exact properties that are shown on this page vary depending on the selected Chart Type. The sections below provide guidelines for each of the properties on this page.
The title to display for this chart.
The location of the chart title.
The font size to apply to the chart title. In v11, this defaults to 14 pt.
The color to apply to the chart title.
The color theme to apply to the chart. This can differ from the color theme applied on the Web Part Settings page of the Display Wizard.
The height of the chart, expressed as a percentage of the web part’s total height.
The width of the chart, expressed as a percentage of the web part’s total width.
The text to place below the chart’s X axis. This property is not shown on this page when the chart type is set to Pie or Doughnut.
The text to place next to the chart’s Y axis. This property is not shown on this page when the chart type is set to Pie or Doughnut.
The text to place along the Z axis of the chart. This property is not shown on this page when the chart type is set to Pie or Doughnut.
The orientation to apply to the text or values used as labels along the X axis. This allows the builder to identify the best option given the values and the available space. Possible values include:
•Automatic
•Rotate 30°
•Rotate 45°
•Rotate 90°
•Single level
•Two level stagger
•Three level stagger
This property is not shown on this page when the chart type is set to Pie or Doughnut.
The orientation to apply to the text or values used as labels along the Y axis. The same options that are offered for the X axis are available here. This property is not shown on this page when the chart type is set to Pie or Doughnut.
Select this checkbox you want the chart display to include the values that correspond to each bar, column, pie slice, data point, etc.
The label to be displayed for each bar/slice/data point in the chart. This is left blank by default.
The format to apply to the value shown for the label. Possible options include percent, label, and value (default).
The desired placement of the data value. Possible options include center, top (default), and bottom.
The font size to apply to the data value label, measured in points.
The length of the line from the bar/slice/data point to the data value label, measured in pixels.
The color to apply to the line. This defaults to black.
The style of line to apply. This defaults to Solid. A sample of the line style is shown to the right when the style is selected.
The thickness of the line, measured in pixels.
