What is it?

Throttling is a feature that allows administrators to limit the maximum number of lists, sites, and/or items that can be returned by a CorasWorks Basic Display. This feature can be enabled to minimize the issues that can arise when displays are configured to reference or return a very large amount of information.

The Advanced Data Providers are not constrained by the throttling limits. Throttling is meant to enforce governance and keep site administrators from accidentally impacting the server. Throttling does not apply to the Advanced components; we have intentionally given these components the flexibility to scope the data return to a minimum set..

Note: Central Configuration must be enabled prior to enabling Throttling.
