Each of the three above templates includes several master pages. There are two main functions that make these master pages different:
• Top Link Bar Tabs – The tabs that Microsoft adds to an upgraded site, shown under the site title
• Workplace Tasks – Introduced in CorasWorks’ Summer 2006 release
The Standard template and the WVA template each include four master pages to contain all possible variations of these two key features.
The All Zones template includes two master pages, both of which contain the zone for workplace tasks. So if Workplace Tasks was in the site before migration, it will be migrated.

The default master page used by each template is CW.master. If you want to use a different master page, you will need to create a site using the template and then select a different master page via the Site Settings in SharePoint. Once that has been done, you can run the Design Manager.
