Excessive Deployment Time for Components

If it seems to take an excessive amount of time to install the component(s), return to the Installation Manager and click on the component to be deployed, then select the Install button. If the problem persists, go to the services on each server and restart the Windows SharePoint Services Administration and Timer Service.

If one of the components says "Error" in red:

1.  Go to Operations/Timer Job Definitions.

2.  Delete the Deployment Definition for the component.

If no definition is found, locate the manualinstall.bat file and copy the STSADM command to perform a force deployment for the solution showing the arrow. (For example: stsadm -o deploysolution -force -immediate -allowGacDeployment -name CorasWorks.ActionWizard.wsp). Execute the command via the command line. Watch the process to verify that everything deploys. Perform an IIS Reset. If you still notice an error, contact CorasWorks Support.

3.  Return to the Operations/Solution Management page.

4.  Look to see if there is an error. If seems to take an excessive amount of time to install the component(s), return to the Installation Manager and click on the component to be deployed, then select the Install button. If the problem persists, go to the services on each server and restart the Windows SharePoint Services Administration and Timer Service.

The amount of time it takes to install the v11 components will vary depending on your environment and configuration.
