Delete a Central View

The Central Views Wizard provides a simple method to delete one or more central views at a time. Before you delete a central view, please keep in mind that the Central Views Wizard does not perform any kind of check to see if the view(s) to be deleted are referenced in any CorasWorks displays.

If you delete a central view that is referenced by a display, it will remain in the set of available views for that display. If a user selects the deleted central view from the Views drop-down or accesses a navigation display that references a deleted central view, the central view will not be displayed. Instead, the first available view for the display will be shown. If the deleted central view was the only view enabled for the display, then a message will be displayed stating that no views have been selected.

1.  Access the Central Views Wizard and specify the location of the central view to be deleted. When you select the location from the List or library drop-down, all existing central views in that library are displayed in an Available Views table.

2.  Locate the view that you want to delete and click on the Delete icon to the right of the view. The Delete Views page is displayed.

3.  The central view that was selected on the previous page is shown in the Views to Delete area. If you want to delete more than one central view at a time, you can select additional views from the Available Views area and use the arrow icons to move them to the Views to Delete area.

4.  When you are ready to proceed, click the Delete button. The selected central views are deleted and you are returned to the Central Views Wizard landing page.
