Once a central view has been saved, it can be added to any instance of the type of data display or navigation display for which it was created. Central views can be added to a display in two ways:
•Reference – Add the central view to the display and maintain a connection with the central view definition. Any changes are made to the central view definition in the future are automatically reflected in all of the displays that reference it. A central view that is added as a reference cannot be edited via the Display Wizard; it can only be edited via the Central Views Wizard.
•Copy – Add the central view to the display but do not maintain any kind of connection with the definition in the Central Views Wizard. Any changes made to the central view definition via the Central Views Wizard will not be reflected in the display. A central view that is added as a copy can be edited via the Display Wizard. When changes are made to a copied central view, it has no affect on the original view definition in the Central Views Wizard.
