The Application Designer Solution pages, are engineered to require a GUID value when opened.  When the page is opened with the GUID in the URL, the current user is checked to see if the user has permission to open the page.  If not, the user sees a message indicating their lack of permission.  If a user attempts to open a page without the GUID, they are returned to the home page of the site.

Note: Tab security is not inherited by the buttons.  A user may not be able to see a tab.  However, if they gain access to a button’s URL they may be able to access that page.  To ensure complete security, be sure to apply permissions to the buttons as well as the tabs.
