The Design Canvas is organized into two sections. On the left side are the Widgets. The Widgets are the lists/libraries, pages, links, forms, rules, reports, and anything else that can be added into the navigation structure.
On the right side is the Design Canvas itself. The Design Canvas displays the navigation layout for the site, permits editing of the navigation, provides for the application of security to the pages, and allows for its final publishing.
Widgets are dragged from the left section into the Design Canvas section on the right. The pages that follow discuss the two sections, how they interact, and offer details on their use.
