Creating a New Report Widget

Prior to creating a Report, be sure to understand the goal of the report and how the data is stored within its underlying list or library.  Once these goals have been met, start the Report creation process.

1.  Within the Reports section, click on the “New Report” link.  The Design Report panel will open, with build options displayed along the left side of the panel.

2.  Within the Select Data Source section, choose the list or library within the Data Source field.

3.  If a Filter is necessary, click on the “Open Filter Builder” link and enter the filtering information.

4.  Choose the field containing the information to be analyzed, then choose the analysis type (unless the field contains numbers, the only analysis type is Count).

5.  Click on the ü Next  button to access the Chart Design section of the builder.  Note that this section includes vertical scrolling.

6.  Choose the Plot Type.  The type of Plot selected impacts the Series Type/Funnel Mode field that follows.

7.  If appropriate, choose the Series Type/Funnel Mode for the chart.

8.  Scroll down to the Display Elements area and enter (or update) the Chart Title.

9.  Scroll to the bottom of this section and click on the ü Next  button to access the Report Details Area.

10. Add or edit the Name of the report.  Optionally, provide a Description.

11. Click on the ü Save  button to save the Report Widget.
