CorasWorks Default Display

With the CorasWorks v11 Platform, we have introduced new displays for the Basic Calendar and Basic Grid.  These displays were selected for their improved performance, compatibility with SharePoint 2010, and the ability to export/print information.
 
While these displays represent a significant improvement, we have also included the v11.1-era displays as well.  There may be cases where the new display interfaces don’t work in the same manner as the earlier displays or there’s a requirement for using the original display.  Luckily, the display options for the Basic Calendar and Basic Grid can be set in two ways:
 

      Within the component’s Display Wizard  If the user goes into the Display Wizard for the Basic Calendar or Basic Grid, enters the Web Part Settings page, and access the Interface Type field, they can select one of three options:

v11.1 or earlier: uses the v11.1 display;

v11.2 (new interface): uses the new display;

Default: this is the default selection for the components; its value is set at the server level.

      Within the Web Application’s Central Administration  The steps below discuss how to set the default display type used by the Basic Grid and Basic Calendar.  The users can override this setting through the Display Wizard.
