To access the Design Canvas, look
for the Configuration tab within the navigation. Click on the
Configuration tab, then click on the Design Canvas button. The Design

The Design Canvas page uses a variety of JavaScript and UI styles. As a result, it will take time to transfer the required files and for the local browser to load them. While the initial loading of the page takes the longest amount of time (the files are cached in the local browser after the initial load) the page will always require longer to load than a typical SharePoint page.

Initially, only SharePoint Site Collection Administrators, as well as the initial users selected to be Application Managers, can access the Design Canvas page. All others users will be sent to the site’s Home page when trying to access the Design Canvas. Additional users can be granted permission.
